Many of Victor Gadino’s hyper-realistic images evoke his interest in Greco-Roman mythology with the homoerotic subtexts they often convey. Other of Gadino's images comment on the gay male fascination with muscular perfection. Many more deal with, in Gadino's words, "the pain of losing loved ones to AIDS, and the joy and camaraderie of the circuit parties that grew from that devastation."
Gadino's work is in the collection of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, and the private collections of Hollywood notables, as well as the Tisch family in New York.
