Opening Reception: Friday, November 8th, 6-8pm

Vivienne Maricevic has made a career of documentary photography, specializing in capturing images of "the underbelly, the outcasts of society."

In the early 1980s New York was brimming with male strip clubs known as "burlesque theaters." Maricevic managed the remarkable feat of gaining access to many of these venues for the purpose of taking photographs.

The works presented here are a testimonial to a culture, a time, a place, all now lost but for this collection of poignant images.
