"Based on an idea from his husband Alan, Ziering figured he could subvert viewers expectations by creating clever combinations of upper body clothing and facial composition in contrast with the exposed penis of some of the most powerful men to ever walk the Earth. By doing this, audiences are left with no direct signaling of what they should feel. Instead of solely leaning into reverence for such powerful figures, Ziering levels the playing field between us the viewer and the presidents."
